UHCI performance issue in 64-bit W7

Performance I am new to this community.  If there were discussions of this issue, please forward me the link(s).

We manufacture some USB devices for industrial usage. Recently, we tested our host 64-bit driver with a Dell T7500 and noticed a huge performance decrease for short USB messages (20-60 bytes), comparing to our 32-bit driver.  We repeated the same tests on EHCI and OHCI and did not see much performance changes. We noticed that the UHCI chipset is different from the 2 test PCs.  The 64-bit W7 PC device manager shows:   Intel(R) ICH10 Family USB Universal Host Controller - 3A3A.  The 32-bit XP PC is an older Dell that uses:  Intel(R) ICH8 Family USB Universal Host Controller - 2830.

I am wondering if anyone else has seen this.  I am also wondering the meanings of the "3A3A" and "2830".

      Thanks for your help.
