Intel core i7-3770 heat problem

Hello, I have an issue with my CPU. I'm running core i7-3770 on ASRock z77 Pro4 motherboard. And I'm using the stock cooler. When the CPU is under 100% load the temperature goes up to 105C. I double checked if the cooler is placed correctly.

Hello Bullitsc, would you please check if the heat sink is in the correct position, also you can verify if it has enough thermal paste on it.

Which temperature are you getting when the processor is being used at 100%?

I have a corsair h100i cooloing the cpu...I've reset the cooler and paste 3 times and made sure the pump in the cooler works fine. today when it was a little cooler out it idles around 35-39. under 60-75% load it will hit hi 80s. I've never had it at 100% load but, if its hitting hi 80s under 60-75% load im pretty sure it would hit the max temp. I've had it shutdown the computer a couple times due to heat. I've done some research and I'm not the only one who has this problem. seems like a common problem with these chips...bad thermal paste and i dont want to have to take the chip apart to fix the problem.

Could you please download the "Intel Processor Diagnostic Tool 64 or 32 bit" and let me know the results.

Could you also provide me the complete model number of the memory you are using?

I would also recommend you to check if there is any new motherboard's BIOS version so you can update the BIOS.
