When you are playing on Black Ops 2 single player, multiplayer, or zombies, any reticles on any red dot scope does not show. This glitch is present in Intel HD 4000 Graphics driver 15.28.12.64.2932(9.17.10.2932). It is also present in Windows 7 or Windows 8. This glitch was also present in the Nvidia graphics driver, but driver version 310.90 has succesfully fixed the glitch on all Nvidia based GPUs, which leads me to believe this is a graphics driver issue. I also have this exact same problem, I have emailed Intel on this matter and thus far received no reply. I also believe the problem is the graphics as you have stated regarding Nvidia. I hope some answers come soon.

The Missing Reticle issue you are having when playing Black Ops 2 could be fix by the following troubleshooting:
To use the latest Intel graphics driver provided by your computer manufacturer. Your computer manufacturer may have altered the features, incorporated customizations, or made other changes in the drivers they provide for your computer.

Contact the game developer for additional information and troubleshooting assistance.
If the issue persists, I could send the feedback to our software support and engineering group

I have literally tried everything. I have tried the drivers from my computer manufacturer's website and nothing. Also after a few hours of researching and comparing their drivers to the intel drivers from intel, I found out they were entirely identical anyway. But you do make a point about the game playable list. Black Ops 2 is not on that list, or any other call of duty game. To my experience, all the games on that list work flawless or near flawless, and ones that are not on the list usually have some issue. But I would greatly appreciate if the intel team who works on graphics drivers would make call of duty compatible with HD 4000 as it is a very popular game. Nvidia had the same exact issue, as I have a laptop with a nvidia card, but they fixed it within two or less weeks after the games launch. Thank you.

Just like Gabriel I have tried everything, COD Modern warfare is on the list of playable games though so I don't understand why Black Ops 2 is a problem and a very little one at that. There are a very large amount of people with Intel graphics with this problem. I would very much appreciate it if you could have a look into this problem as trying to play the game without sights is not enjoyable at all.

In which year will a new driver be out for HD 4000? I wish they had more updates to their drivers so it could actually catch up to AMD or Nvidia. But do you have any eta on any new driver? Thanks.

Mate I am a little confused here as I am sure a lot of others are, you say that the team have identified the problem with the graphics driver and have fixed it with the new update, and now in brackets you have placed doubt. Telling us you have no ETA or any idea if the update will even get released does not inspire confidence. Intel has a pretty big name and yet it is unable to stand up to Nvidia or AMD. Please find out what is going on and be straight with us. I like many others want to be able to get my moneys worth out of games that I buy, not be robbed because of issues such as these. If you are unable to fix the problem then tell us, we can at least then move into further actions. I apologize Nic but saying sorry for the inconvenience does not cut it and is a line people say when they are cutting others short. Please find out ASAP and get get back to us.

Sorry if you misunderstood what I said. It's this:
1. I cannot provide the ETA for this driver, it'll happen when it happens!
2. I cannot provide the ETA for ANY driver EVER. Everyone can ask, and I understand that you guys are waiting on fixes - but under no circumstances can I provide the information, whether it'll happen the following morning or the following season :S Just not something we're allowed to do.
That being said, your issue has been identified and fixed, and when the driver is released that has the fix, I'll post to this thread to let you guys know!

So I downloaded the update and indeed the reticle is now working, however it had taken about 15 attempts to actually get the game to work as now with the new update the game simply freezes. I don't know if this is a known problem and is being fixed or if this is the first you have heard it, either way I am not fussed, I am a bit over it all now.

i hatve the same problem with Gabriel... and i search everything on the web they say the main problem is on the graphic drivers, and NVidia had the same problem too but they fixed it already.. hope this can be fixed soon. thank you for this post

I'm with the same problem, game producers say that problem is caused by drivers graphic of pc, in my case is the Intel 4000 HD 3rd generation. I want to play the game with the quality that is so praised. I paid $ 50 for the game and now I hope that Intel can help us, we would like an update fixing this. My equipment is a LG N450 Laptop I5 (HD 4000 graphics) 4GB Ram and 500GB HD.
Apart from this problem, the games run perfectly on Intel HD Graphics 4000. Thanks for that.

People, they already have an update according to nic that fixed the problem with the game, but they have not relased it yet. nic does not know when it is coming out, but I would guess sometime in March. Just hang in there. By then, the new dlc for Black Ops 2 will be out too, hopefully.
