What about drivers Windows XP running on 3rd Generation processors? These are for Win7 and Win8.
I recently bought a 3rd Gen i3-3220 processor and an Intel DH61CR motherboard because I heard it was Windows XP friendly. And now it turns out there's no graphics driver for it. I guess I would have been better off buying an older processor.

I have attempted to load "Intel® HD Graphics Driver for Windows XP, version 14.51.7.5421 (6.14.10.5421) for Windows XP" (file: winxp_14517.exe). A few times and it dosen't find anything appropriate. I also tried the "Intel Driver Update Utility" and it doesn't recognise the graphics processor.
The Readme for this release lists all the 2nd generation processors but only has one 3Gen entry:
"3rd generation Intel(R) Core(TM) Processor Family"
So I assumed they were not supported.

Hi Trace
Do you have specifics on your system? Who makes it? Model number?

Robert,
I made it, sort of, it's just an Intel DH61CR motherboard, an Intel 3rd Gen i3-3220 processor, 4GB of Crucial memory and a new power supply in an old case.
I don't have the BIOS and AA version in front of me but I remember they were both high enough to support 3rd generation processors.

Ivy Bridge is supported with current WinXP drivers.
[IntelGfx.NTx86.5.1]
%iIVBGD0% = iIVBD0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0162
%iIVBGM0% = iIVBM0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0166
%iIVBGD0SRV% = iIVBD0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_016A
%iIVBGD0GT1% = iIVBD0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0152
%iIVBGM0GT1% = iIVBM0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_0156
%iIVBGD0SRVGT1% = iIVBD0, PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_015A
What's your device ID of this CPU? It should be on of these: 0162, 016A, 0152 or 015A.
Robert_U: None of the provided links currently works and looks like most can't download either. Does it work for you? What browser do you use? Maybe it works only in a few areas.

It should install the drivers . Go here to get all the http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Desktop+Boards&ProductLine=Intel%c2%ae+6+Series+Chipset+Boards&ProductProduct=Intel%c2%ae+Desktop+Board+DH61CR drivers for that motherboard. Install the http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=22153&lang=eng Chipset Driver first. Then install the http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=21477&lang=eng Intel HD Graphics driver. Be sure you also install all of the Windows Updates.

I do remember seeing 'DEV_0152' in the log files, but it couldn't seem to find it.
After having the problem the first time, I started over and this time I used the Intel install CD that came with the motherboard, it was a little old. It installed the Chipset first and then failed trying to instll the HD Graphics driver, everything else installed fine. Windows Update has gone through several update cycles and should be pretty much up to date.
I wonder if I have a BOIS setting wrong or something?

Do you have the http://downloadcenter.intel.com/confirm.aspx?httpDown=http://downloadmirror.intel.com/22174/eng/BEH6110H.86A.0048.EB.EXE&lang=eng&Dwnldid=22174&DownloadType=BIOS latest BIOS installed? Have you tried setting the BIOS settings to Default? Do you have a PCIE graphics card installed by any chance?

The BIOS is not the latest revision, it was above the minimum required for 3rd Gen so I left it for now. It will be my next task. Then I'll try defaulting the Settings.
There is no graphics card of any kind installed. My plan was to see how well HD Graphics ran and then decide on adding a card.

Turns out it was the BIOS version, I missunderstood or miss remembered. I just remember thinking it was up to date enough to support 3Gen processors but not completely up to date. Maybe the Transistion vs Ready version fooled me.
Intel DH61CR Motherboard:
3rd Gen-Transition BIOS: BEH6110H.86A.0035
3rd Gen-Ready BIOS: BEH6110H.86A.0041
Mine: BEH6110H.86A.0038
3rd Gen-Ready AA# s: AAG14064-207
3rd Gen-Capable AA# s: AAG14064-204
Mine: AAG14064-207
I updated to 0048 and the drivers loaded fine and the graphics performance is pretty darn good. I can't believe I missed this, I should figured it out myself.
Thanks for the help!

I've downloaded the Windows 7 32-bit .exe version three times, and each time I get "The contents of this file cannot be unpacked. The executable you are attempting to run has been corrupted. Please obtain another copy of the file, verify its integrity, and try again."
So I tried to update via Device Manager instead, and it tells me that the newest version is already installed. The version I have is the one prior to this one.
