Intel has not implemented USB Wake from S5 on any boards, as per requirements for Energy Star and ErP. There are not any plans to add this feature.
That is a shame, Would it not be a better approach to trust that the user knows what they want to do and have wake on USB as an option albeit disabled by default? I would be interested if you have a link to this advice to manufacturer's from Energystar or ERP? Thanks for the answer though, i was hoping my USB-cec adapter would be able to wake my media center when i turn the tv on as i have installed my NUC in a hard to reach area under the stairs!
Yeah that makes sense. Now I have to keep the device running 24/7.
Some energy savings.
