Hey

I've have an Inter core(tm) i5-2500 CPU @ 3.30Ghz motherboard with 64 bit os.

I used to be able to view on the hdmi cable and i restarted my pc today and the HDMI cable is now no longer detected. My TV picks up that there is a device plugged into the HDMI but the computer doesn't. I installed the latest drivers and still nothing.

Help

Ben

Hello,

Stephan, could you please let me have the full model of the Lenovo system that you have?

Samuel, I believe that your system uses switchable graphics as I can see Intel® and Nvidia drivers listed in your dxdiag report and also in Samsung's web site. Please keep in mind that such systems using switchable graphics require a special driver that is only customized and provided by your computer manufacturer. In this case you should check with Samsung on this.

Could you please specify what video drivers are being used? Also provide the model of the motherboard or laptop that you are using and if you have tested the drivers from the motherboard or laptop manufacturer? (If so, please also list those versions)

What happens if you try using another web browser such as IE or Firefox?

It is a Lenovo V570, probably manufactured some time in mid-late 2011.

Stephan,

What happens if you try the video driver provided by Lenovo posted here?

http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/default.page?selector=expand http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/default.page?selector=expand

As a matter of fact I also see a nVidia* driver posted there, which may be a sign that your system also feature switchable graphics.

Yes, I have tried Lenovo's driver. This particular laptop does not have switchable graphics.

I am experiencing the exact same problem in an ASUS Zenbook UX31E. I have just upgraded to the latest Intel drivers available and the problem with the HDMI persists.

In my case, and just as other people mentioned, if I plug the microHDMI and then install the drivers it start working... but just until I unplug the cable or reboot the system.

After checking this forum it seems that this is a wide known issue that has been going on for months now (actually that's why I did not create a new thread). So hopefully Intel will be able so solve it shortly now... I am willing to provide feedback or more information from my case if needed.

Hi, I have the same problem. I have a Lenovo v570 with Intel HD 3000 graphics and there is no way to connect my laptop to a LG Led tv... I've been trying a lot of ways to make this works... and nothing.

Do you have any solution to this issue? thanks! (if you talk in spanish i'll aprecitatte it)

The Intel engineering department is aware of this thread and they are currently working to get this issue resolved. I still do not have an estimate time of resolution but you can keep checking this post for updates.

Allan.

Hello! I have the same issue. Lenovo V570 with Intel HD Graphics 3000 and TV LG 42LA620V and 'no signal' (but cable is detected) situation. I want to know - you said that the Intel engineering department is aware of this thread - is they find some solution? 6 months gone.

P.S. Sorry for my (I think) bad english.

Thanks for the information.

I am sorry for the delayed answer. I understand this situation has been escalated previously, however, I still do not have notifications that it has been fixed.

Keep testing drivers that Intel released on 4/10/2014.

Please filter by operating system and try to install the driver when it finishes downloading, to verify that your system will accept it.

Thanks, Allan. But I have these drivers since it's release, and it didn't solve the problem. It's so frustrating. It seems that Intel forgot about old processor series. I can understand it, but it so pity. My hope about solving this issue is melting, but still present. Allan, thanks a lot. I'll wait for some solution and/or answer patiently.
