Would the motherboard flash to signify a video error simply if it didn't sense monitor / television was connected?
To answer my own question:
If two flashes only means a video error and the processor has onboard graphics, it must be to do with a cable or connection. I was wondering if it could be the processor not seated properly, but doubt it would get as far as to flash, I don't know...
I give up.
Can I return a used motherboard?
I'm even thinking of buying a monitor with a DisplayPort.
Other people with this 'two flashes' error have simply changed their cable.
Hey Paul, buy chance do you have both displays hooked up while you are booting, i ask because i had a similar issue. What i did was disconnect my secondary display, and my system started up again, i then extended my secondary display. Just a thought.
Thank you so much for a response!
Unfortunately no, I've only got DVI or HDMI equiped monitors / televisions, so I've been solely using the HDMI socket with adapters or direct cables, as I've heard people have had problems with cables I wondered if it was that.
I'm really unhappy with this, the previous Intel board I had had no problems at all, I don't know what to do.
Bought some more RAM, part-number CT102464BF160B.
