FFXI & Minecraft Intel 6 Series HD Card issues

Just recently purchased a Lenovo Idea Center Desktop PC, comes with Windows 8, specs seen below, if anything missing please let me know.

When logging into world no characters models, monsters, general NPC's, eventually the system will apparently crash if allow world to load further. Also an issue with Minecraft believe it or not, runs out of memory? This card handles amazing graphics like Left 4 Dead 2, Portal, APB, just specific games it has issues. We've tried different versions of the game (FFXI on steam as opposed to the discs), updated the graphics drivers, still not resolved. We're likely going to be bringing it back as we're long time FFXI gamers.

There is already a thread about the no-model issue with FFXI:

We're still actively looking at this issue, and when we have an update on the situation, we'll post it in the original thread.

As far as the Minecraft issue goes, the general concensus with minecraft "out of memory" issues is not caused by the GPU, but Java. There are several 'fixes' about the issue too. I'll link them here:
