Cannot install drivers. No Intel Adapters are present in this computer.

      Hi everyone,

I searched for answers to my problem, but there were none that matched or worked for me.

I recently did a clean install of windows 7 Home Premium Edition. I tried to connect to the internet, but it says "Windows did not detect any networking hardware".

So I downloaded PROWinx64, but it says "Cannot install drivers. No Intel Adapters are present in this computer".

I noticed in the device manager that the only thing it has under "Network Adapters" are two Bluetooth devices.

Also under "Other devices", the following devices have an exclamation next to them:

      Ethernet Controller

      PCI Simple Communications Controller

      SM Bus Controller

      Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller

      I have an Intel Core i7 - 2600 CPU @ 3.40GHz with 8GB RAM running 64 Bit OS.

      I really appreciate any help!

      Regards, Jimmy.
