iRST 11.6, Windows 8 x64, RAID1. Disk marked as "Verify" during reboot

I see this strange behavior after installing iRST 11.6 on Windows 8 Pro x64.

My storage is built up of two SATA HDDs in RAID1 configuration, and when I reboot my system, the RAID array is always maked as "Verify" without any suitable reason.

I must wait for the complete verification of the array before starting to work, unless I click on "Cancel" (guessing that my array isn't really corrupted).

Is this a bug in the iRST package/iastorV.sys driver?

Is there a way to solve this?

Thanks,

Alberto

Hello,

As per the information you provided the option ROM (control I menu you see when the system boots during POST) in your system is using version 7.5.0.1017 which is quite out to date, and could be related to this behavior.

I suggest that you check with your motherboard manufacturer for an updated version of this, which is usually updated through a BIOS update.

Hello, and thanks for your answer.

Unfortunately, the manufacturer hasn't been releasing a new BIOS version for my motherboard since 2009.

I already contacted them for another kind of issue, but I got no answer.

Do you think there's another way to solve that?

Thanks

Unfortunately, it seems that version 11.2 of iRST 11.2 isn't Windows 8 compatible.

I tried the those drivers and it seems better, but sometimes still gets into verify mode upon restarting the pc. Also noticed that the raid array verify progress gets reset to 0% after restarting as well.
