    NIC teaming failover

      Hi,

I am currently running HyperV on a single host with a couple of virtual machines. I have setup teaming between the 2 NIC's to have a failover possibility.

First I used "Adapter Load Balancing", but I noticed that it changed from one adapter to the other very often. And the switch isn't 100% smooth, so the virtual machines loose their network connection shortly when this occurs.

Then I changed it to "Adapter Fault Tolerance" - but it still changes from one adapter to the other.

      In the event log:

Current Primary Adapter is switching from: Intel(R) I350 Gigabit Network Connection

Preferred secondary adapter took over: Intel(R) I350 Gigabit Network Connection #4

But it doesn't say why it changes from one adapter to the other. Is there any way I can find out why it changes, so I can prevent it? I only want it to change if the primary adapter fails for some reason.
