When you say "Restarting does not display BMC version in CMOS", you mean to say that the BMC firmware revision information is not being displayed in the BIOS? Cause in this case I would need to know the version of your BMC, FRUSDR & BIOS to crosscheck any version conflicts. However I feel that since your BMC is not updated, the message is being displayed.
Updating the systems BIOS, BMC and FRUSDR with the latest version should remove this POST error. However after the update, ensure that the Clear Event Log is enabled under BIOS to remove the historical data.
