edHi Intel,
I have Lenovo x60 with "Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection" driver version 13.4.0.139.
I wanted know if Intel has any plans to upgrade new drivers along with "hosted network" / mini adapter feature. As i want to use my laptop as a hotspot (make it a Access point) with WPA and WPA-2 PSK and connect my Android phone on the wifi. There are several other WiFi cards which supports hotspot feature.
"Intel PRO/Wireless 3945ABG Network Connection"
Driver version 13.4.0.139
OS: Windows 7 32-bit

Hello Nadeem,
Thank you for your post.
This wireless adapters latest drivers are the ones you currently have, at this moment there are no plans on supporting this feature on this wireless adapter. this feature is only supported on newer adapters; see the link below which has a list of features supported, for the feature you look for you would need the adapter to support the "Intel® My WiFi Technology"
What are the different features supported by Intel® Wi-Fi adapters?:

Also note that for a wireless adapter upgrade you would need to verify with your laptop manufacturer, since the wireless adapters are specific to the customizations of the laptop manufacturer.
