Hope this helps a bit. As personally, i dont know much on the Intel Stable Image Platform & Intel Trusted Execution Technology.
thanks for your quick answer
that is quite remarkable as the Xeon E3110 is more expensive than the E8400 - so it seems that the E8400 is the better choice?
could you throw some light on the FSB:RAM Ratio thing?
i´ve got an Intel S3210SHLC board, as i´m not able to tweak anything in the bios i´m wondering if a 1:1 FSB/RAM ratio would be the most efficent setting?
to achieve this, i would need a 1333FSB CPU for my 667Mhz Ram, is this correct?
thanks in advance
Let's consider a CPU E5410 in this example.
The Xeon CPU has:
Speed 2.33 Ghz
FSB 1333 Mhz
So here the core frequency to fsb multiplier will be 1/7. [(2.33x1000x4)/1333]
If i am using a memory with speed 1333Mhz, then the fsb:dram ratio will be:
Now if you are using a memory with speed 667Mhz, then the fsb:dram ratio will be:
I think so. I am not 100% sure.
Please investigate further.
