DZ77GA-70K - replacing motherboard with RAID

    gaymaster

I have a DZ77GA-70K which appears to have a bad integrated NIC.  A replacement MB is on the way but I'm unclear how to handle replacing the motherboard with the OS on a RAID1 set.  Will the new MB automatically recognize the existing array?  Do I have to keep the ports the same?  Or will I have to do a bare metal backup in Windows and restore that to freshly formatted RAID1 drives?  Documentation gives no guidance at all.

Of course for safety's sake I'll do the backup anyway, just wondering what to expect/how much time is going to be involved.
