Looking to buy Intel Xeon E5-1660 but no one is selling

Hey Guys,

I'm new to this forum so I hope I don't break any rules of etiquette.

Basically I want to buy an Intel Xeon E5-1660 but I can find no stores that hold inventory. It's a new chip so I was very surprized! Not to mention it has better performance in single CPU systems than some others that cost more. See below.

It appears as if Intel doesn't even produce them any more, can anyone else confirm this? If anyone knows a place I can buy this chip from I would really appreciate it. I'm willing to pay $100 over MSRP. Also I found 8 sites claiming to have them by searching at google.com 4 of the sites looked like scams, I contacted 2 of the others and they lied about their inventory and don't presently have any.

Hope someone knows something, thanks a bunch in advance for taking the time to read my question!

Peter

Hi Peter,

I made the mistake of thinking I could use these in a dual processor mobo and bought 2. I live in New York and would gladly sell you one of my unused cpus- please email me (info in my profile) or message me through twitter @edmondhawkins Thanks!
