I have been looking for information on the D425KT motherboard. Here is the official page. http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/motherboards/desktop-motherboards/desktop-board-d425kt.html
But I have found no information about whether GTP partitioning is supported or not. I have a 3TB hard drive and I am planning to buy this motherboard to fit a small home server. Will I be able to boot from the 3TB hard drive? I will use a Linux (Ubuntu Server or Debian) with support for GTP so in theory the operative system won't be a problem.
I though that it wasn't possible but reading here Desktop Boards — Troubleshooting disk drive problems y see an option on how to enable the option and it says this motherboard is included.
Will I be able to use the motherboard for that purpose? Anyone has tried succesfully?
Thanks to all!
To answer your question, GPT partitions are supported by the motherboard BIOS since it supports UEFI. In order to confirm how to proceed we recommend checking the different third party website resources and your Linux Distribution support group for further assistance.
