RSTe 3.2.0.1134 on Win8 scrambles drive names

    ptr727

      I'm running Win8 Enterprise RTM on a SuperMicro 7047A-T with a C600 chipset.

Win8 includes drivers for the standard SATAIII ports, but the SCU controller requires the RSTe drivers to be installed.

I installed RSTe 3.2.0.1134, marked as latest on RSTe site.

Support for the Intel® Rapid Storage Technology Enterprise

After installing RSTe, all the drive model names are scrambled.

E.g. "INTEL SSD..." becomes "NIET LSSS..."

      E.g. Hitachi ..." becomes "iHathc i..."

It looks like the text BYTE's are being WORD swapped, ABCD -> BADC

      Anybody else experience the same?
