Lenovo U410 Linux Power Saving

Hi,

I have a question, i recently bought a Lenovo U410 with the i5 Ivy-Bridge processor. The battery life is about 9 hours what Is really amazing. But this is only when I use Windows 7.

When I use Linux I have a battery life of about 3 hours!

Does anyone know, how I can get something more out of it?

Also the laptop gets very hot.
