Most likely it's related to this issue: http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sb/CS-031086.htm Slow system response with Windows 2008 R2* or Windows 7* and embedded NIC driver.

The NIC problem is OK now, But I have an other question for my system. When I finished install the win7 64. I run the Win7 performance index, when it goes to check CPU performance, the system power off and reboot suddenly,I had tried several times and the appearance of things same, I used the AIDA64 check the CPU with CPU Zlib , CPU AES and CPU HASH the same problem occur. Can you help me ?

I would check power first. What kind of PSU/chassis are you using?

Seems it should do... Would you test with minimal configuration first (one CPU, one DIMM) and add one component at a time? That should help you to identify the faulty part. Also a fresh OS installation is recommended.

Hey Edward , I found my motherboard has some problem. There's no BMC firmware version,HSC firmware version and SDR revision, it displayed: 0.0 0.0 and - -. I can't update it with the EFI bootup.

What error did you get when updating the BMC? You may try the Force BMC update procedure as documented in the board http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/s5520sc/sb/CS-030231.htm Technical product specification section 7.2. If it still fails, get the board replaced.

Dear Edward,

Thank you for your advice! You are right. My upgrade BMC firmware Procedure: Jump the BMC force update to enable(2-3),then Run BMC34 in EFI boot environment,power off then Jumper jump to disable ,run

BMC40,and Upgrade to the Newest firmware.

I found why my system can't pass the Win7 performance index and the Aida64 cpu test, When use the bios option:

advance ->processor configuration ->core multi-processing ->ALL, The problem will occur,change the option to 1 or 2

will work !

So BMC is working now? Did you try only one CPU with core multi-processing set to All?

And before that , I reinstall the win7 system, I t still had problem with 2 CPU. Edward , can you help ??

What's the problem with 2 CPUs? Still reboot during performance test? Did you try both CPUs one at a time in Slot 1?

Yes, Still reboot during performance test with 2 CPU. Both CPUs one in slot 1 work fine.

There are events about power unit failure. If possible try a different PSU.

I think it's not the PSU problem, I had tried to replace 2 PSU, but nothing changed. Finally I set the bios option " hyper threading" to Disable, and then the system is OK now!
