This is the profile that allows passing stereo music: I just bought this Centrino 1030 wireless card for my HP Pavillion and want to use the BT capability for (among other purposes) to stream music from Windows Media Player (Win 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1) wirelessly to BT A2DP-compliant wireless speakers - but don't want to buy those speakers if the card doesn't support this BT profile - - -

Hello Doug,

Note that the Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 1030 is compliant with the Bluetooth 2.1, 2.1+EDR, 3.0, 3.0+HS standards. Mandatory protocols for all Bluetooth stacks are: LMP, L2CAP and SDP, where the Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) is found. You should be able to use any external audio device such as Headphones or External Speakers.

We would suggest checking the Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 1030 Product Brief at the URL below:

In the other hand, note that the Intel® Centrino® Wireless-N 1030 adapter is meant to be professionally installed by Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) technicians on certified systems only.

Your system must be compliant with the required FCC certifications in compliance with the International Special Committee for Radio Interference standards for radiated and conducted electromagnetic interference.

In this case what we recommend and encourage you to first contact the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) to determine if the product is approved for use in your computer.

Installing an aftermarket wireless adapter in your laptop can cause several issues which may affect usage of the wireless adapter or laptop. Some of these issues may include the following:

- The OEM may have installed the wireless adapter with a lock to prevent installation of another adapter.

- Your adapter may not be electrically compatible with your laptop that may cause the adapter and/or your laptop to no longer function.

- Wireless hardware installation and use is subject to regulatory approval, and the adapter purchased may not support your local regulations.
