My system won't boot with an IDE Hard Disk Drive. I only get a blinking cursor during POST.
This is caused because the BIOS cannont recognize the IDE hard disk to be the first boot priority in the BIOS. It has to be manually selected. The solution is to:
1. switch IDE HDD jumper settings to slave mode
Note: if IDE HDD is set on the master mode, the error will occur
2. change the boot priority settings and set the Hard Disk as the first priority.
