Can't update AMT firmware

Hello,

I've Lenovo T400 laptop and trying to enable AMT on it. I tried to install the AMT firmware but it will fail with this error

C:\DRIVERS\WIN\ME>MEUPD.CMD

I tried tpm.msc and changed the owners password but same error. Any idea?

Try disabling the TPM then update the firmware after it completes enable the TPM.

I did try it and resulted in the same error. The meinfowin shows the needed hardware is present.

You disabled it in the BIOS and got the same error (Error (8729): TPM in owned state, owner password is required)?

Actually, I turned it off using tpm.msc and got the same error. So this time I tried by disabling the TPM in the BIOS and now I get this error:

Trying to connect to MEI driver.

Communication Mode: TPM

Error (8733): Firmware update tool failed to locate TPM device driver

It sounds like you need to talk to Lenovo with this issue as we do not support the TPM.
