    BLH6710H : VT-d IOMMU/DMAR capability

      Hi all,

I have a few computers running on BLH6710H motherboard and I have a problem using the DMAR functionnality which is - normally - included in VT-d technology.

I boot on a Linux 2.6.32 kernel (Proxmox distrib) and I cannot see DMAR/IOMMU initialization in kernel boot, so I cannot use it. But virtualization is working fine, only PCI Pass-Through is unusable.

On another machine, running a Supermicro motherboard, all is OK running the same software configuration.

      Here are technical details:

      BIOS Version: BLH6710H.86A.0146.2011.1222.1415

      CPU: Intel(R) Core(TM) i5-2310

Kernel: 2.6.32-12-pve (CONFIG_DMAR=y and CONFIG_DMAR_DEFAULT_ON=y or not set is the same)

Why is there a problem using this functionnality on that motherboard ? I tried to flash latest BIOS on a machine, but it killed the motherboard and a RAM module ... (no more boot).

If someone could help me about it, it could be very nice.

      Thank you.
