DN2800MT updated BIOS to MT0154P but still have USB DVD power up problems

I previously thought I was having power supply issues but found that anytime I have the external USB DVD drive installed from reset the system will hang.  See previous post: http://communities.intel.com/message/156724#156724

I upgraded the BIOS to the 0154 version (board came with 0152) using the F7 method.  (The F7 upgrade was very easy -- good job!). I found the new BIOS here: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=21152&ProdId=3382&lang=eng&OSVersion=&DownloadType=BIOS

After the upgrade the DVD drive still hangs at reset.  I found that if I wait until Linux install begins and then hot plug the external USB drive the Linux install program will be able to use the DVD drive.  In summary, I can work around the issue. I was able to install Red Hat on the system.
