Sorry for the late response. Here's the info you requested Scott. Let me know if there's anything else you need to know:
What SSD/HDD/ODD drives you have?
Two Crucial M4 SSDs, 256GB each. Model # M4-CT256M4SSD2. Firmware 000F. Write-back cache is enabled.
One Samsung DVD drive: TSSTcorp CDDVDW SH-222BB, Firmware SB00.
Where they are plugged in (i.e. what order)?
They're both plugged into the Intel SATA3 ports (not the Marvell ports). Intel RST tells me those are ports 0 and 1.
The DVD drive is plugged into port 4.
How you are configuring the BIOS (i.e. IDE vs. RAID vs. AHCI)?
I'm using RAID 0. No SSD caching.
I have the same problem with Desktop Utilities - it doesn't work (it is opened but always shows a progress circle).
IDU version - 3.2.4.055
OS - Windows 8 64-bit
MB - Intel dz77bh-55k
BIOS version - 0093
The "UEFI boot" option is disabled in BIOS.
Restoring the default fan speeds didn't help.
Has anyone solved this problem?
