On Windows 8 Consumer Preview I have the same issue with my DZ68BC board. The tools fails to detect Intel components or claims that no newer driver is available. As a workaround I use the RSS feed to watch the support page of the board.

That's disappointing to hear. I was hoping Intel's quality control was going to be better than that.
I'll just need to sift through the driver updates web site to see if anything new is out. I'll sort the page by date to speed up that process.
