I am thinking of upgrading my motherboard and processor. I use RAID10 over four SATA 1TB drives on the current one which has a 955 chipset with the current software v10.8.0.1003. If I upgrade the motherboard to one of the latest, say using the Z77 chipset which has RST, will my disks work ok on this new chipset without corrupting data?
Thanks for the advice.
I do not think the Z77 chipset will be able to read properly the RAID structure that currently is in those Hard Drives. I recommend creating a backup of the information you have in that RAID 10 volume, and then creating the RAID 10 volume from scratch in the new motherboard.
