    DQ67SW, problem format RAID1 2TB

    Vrabel

      Hello,

I have installed Windows XP Professional 32bit on

      DQ67SW

      Intel I5-2500

      2x2GB RAM Kingston DDR3 1333

      2x2TB Seagate ST2000DM001 configured as RAID1

      1st partition     100GB boot

2nd partition      10GB Windows XP professional SP3 32bit   (include all updates from Microsoft). All drivers are in actual versions.

      3rd partition     1800GB

      all partitions are primary

Windows from 2nd partition is working ok, if I use first two partitions

But when I try format 3rd partition windows freeze. No blue screen, just freeze.

When I try boot Windows from another HDD - non RAID - and then format 3rd partition of RAID all is OK.

      Can somebody help me?

I have tried to move these

          2x2TB Seagate ST2000DM001 configured as RAID1

          to another similar motherboard

          DQ67OW

          Windows again freze.

But this DQ67OW is working in similar configuration more than 1 month without problem.

But there are 2x2TB Western Digital WDC WD2002FYPS.

There are one important difference between these HDD.

          WD has

          Physical sector size: 512 Bytes

          Logical sector size: 512 Bytes

          and Seagate has

          Physical sector size: 4096 Bytes

          Logical sector size: 512 Bytes

I think, that this is the problem.

This is job for Intel to modify driver, or BIOS?
