According to the error you get when installing the "Intel(R) Wireless Display Software", I can tell that your system is not meeting the hardware requirements.
The laptop has the following Specs:
Processor: Intel Core i5-2450M
Wireless driver: Intel Centrino Wireless-N130
Graphics: Intel HD Graphics familly
Can someone tell me why it won't install?
We have a list of hardware and software requirements posted on our support site, that explains what needs to be present on the laptop for it to install. You can access it from the link below:Intel® Wireless DisplaySystem requirements for the Intel® Wireless Display
If you check on the Intel® Core™ i5 processors supported, we have the following:
580M; 560M; 540M; 520M; 480M; 460M; 450M; 430M; 580UM; 560UM; 540UM; 520UM; 470UM; 430UM; 2540M; 2520M; 2410M; 2537M
Unfortunately, the Intel(R) Core i5-2450M is not listed, as this is the reason why the installer exits when trying to install it. You may want to get in touch with your computer manufacturer for further advise on this topic.
Nevertheless, in its specification chart of this procesor appears :Intel® My WiFi Technology
How is this possible??? I'm confused about that. I will apreciate if you solve my doubt.
Thanks in advance.
The Processor has Intel® HD Graphics which does support Intel® Wireless Display, however, the processor itself does not.
For Intel® Wireless Display to work your computer will need to meet all of the requirements on this page:
If your computer meets those requirements then you should not have an issue with Intel® Wireless Display. If you are missing any one of the components, like an Intel® Wireless card, as on the ASUS EP121 from the previous post, the software will not install. It can only function when all components are in place.
Please let us know if you have any other questions.

I have HP Pavilion g6 Notebook
Window 7 64 Bit (Pre Installed with my laptop)
Intel core i52450M (Pre Installed with my laptop)
Intel HD Graphics 3000 (Pre Installed with my laptop)
Intel Centrino Wireless N 1030 ( I purchase this from amazon and replace my original adapter)
And I manage to get it installed on my laptop. I think Intel support is just giving standard reply (i.e. OEM should enabled it) but that is not always true.
I did face problem with wireless adapter and solution described below worked for me.
2. Product family -> Wireless Networking
3. Intel Wi-Fi Products
4. Intel Centrino Advanced-N 6230 (your model may vary)
5. Operating system (Win7 64bit )
6. Choose option 1 "Intel Proset/Wireless Software and Drivers for Windows 7 (your OS may differ)
7. Choose Option 3 (this is the key part) Wireless_15.8.0_s64.exe (not Ds64). T
8. I did a default install rather than custom.
Make sure you have an "Intel Proset Wireless" folder in your start menu. If not, you probably installed Ds64.exe.
