Hi - Four alternating beeps (high tone, low tone, high tone, low tone) is a thermal warning which may explain why your computer is shutting down. After it cools off, you are able to restart it. Are you monitoring your temperatures and your fans (case and CPU)? If not, there are free downloads from the internet that will do this including Intel's Desktop Utility which you can find here. http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?keyword=%22%22intel+desktop+utilities%22%22 Do ensure it is applicable to your board which, because of its age, is on Intel's "end of life" list. Regards. Peter
Thanks for the reply. End of life...???!!!!! I recently purchased the board. Does it mean I will not get support if the board goes bad. Also I checked the link. There was no temp. monitor software for DG41 series in the list.
Anyways, thanks for the help.
Try the IDU for the 4-series chip. http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=20030&keyword=%22%22intel+desktop+utilities%22%22&DownloadType=Software+Applications&lang=eng . Regards. Peter
