I currently have a DXP061 Motherboard from Dell running the latest Firmware 2.5.3 and happily running an Intel® Core™2 Duo Processor E6300 (2M Cache, 1.86 GHz, 1066 MHz FSB). I would like to upgrade to an Intel® Pentium® Processor E6700 (2M Cache, 3.20 GHz, 1066 FSB). Both CPU’s are Sockets Supported LGA775, FSB speeds are the same however the only difference I can see is that the existing CPU has a Lithography of 65 nm whereas the CPU I want to purchase has a Lithography of 45 nm. Will this CPU work with my existing Motherboard?
We would like to inform you that these motherboards are customized to the OEM's specifications so please, contact your OEM for support on your original inquiry, as they are familiar with the total hardware and software (driver) configuration of your integrated system and the way all the features interact with each other. The compatibility information we handle is for boxed Intel(R) motherboards exclusively. Thank you for your understanding.
