Hello,

The Intel(R) 4 series controllers as the one you are using are compatible with Microsoft* Windows* XP, Microsoft* Windows* Vista* and Microsoft* Windows* 7.

You can test using the latest generic driver for this controller, which is posted here:

http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Graphics&ProductLine=Laptop+graphics+controllers&ProductProduct=Mobile+Intel%C2%AE+4+Series+Express+Chipset+Family&ProdId=2991&LineId=1101&FamilyId=39 http://downloadcenter.intel.com/SearchResult.aspx?lang=eng&ProductFamily=Graphics&ProductLine=Laptop+graphics+controllers&ProductProduct=Mobile+Intel%C2%AE+4+Series+Express+Chipset+Family&ProdId=2991&LineId=1101&FamilyId=39

Keep in mind that these are generic drivers that have not been specifically tested nor developed for your system, so some features may not work properly when using these drivers.

Therefore, you should always use the drivers that are directly provided by your Original Equipment Manufacturer or laptop manufacturer.

if the issue persists, check with your laptop manufacturer to see if your system has been validated for the operating system you would like to use and ask them to provide you a driver for that system.
