In case this isn't the version you need, you can just go to the downloads page and search "Desktop Utilities."
Well, that didn't work, and the only versions available are for NT, 2K, XP and Vista (32 and 64bit). I had hoped that the Vista drivers would work on Windows Server 2008 R2 (Windows Home Server 2011).
The error message says "Required thermal and voltage sensor drivers could not be installed. These are required drivers. The installation will now abort." I used Task Manager to go to the process, hoping I could end it and force the install by picking up where it left off from a temp file, but the process is "Setup.exe" and that's all there is to this installer. Any ideas how I can get the thermal and voltage sensor drivers to install? (P.S. there is a yellow triangle bang error in Device Manager for a device called "on Intel(R) ICH8DH LPC Interface Controller - 2812"; so I suspect this is what I'm missing. Manually searching for the driver to install it does not work.).
Found a tip elsewhere on the forums, to get rid of the Device Manager yellow "bang" error on the ICH8DH LPC controller, go into BIOS and disable the Intel Quick Resume Technology setting. Restart, confirmed in Device Manager this error was gone. Then did a right-click on the Setup.exe and placed the installer setup.exe into "Windows Vista SP2" compatibility mode. Now the Setup.exe completes without error. The Intel Desktop Utilities open and I can see temperature, fan speed, etc.! (Not sure which of the two steps did the trick, but I think it was getting rid of the Intel Quick Resume Technology BIOS setting.)
