It is not normal for a system to power on and off by its own. This could be due to a corrupted BIOS (during the update). Therefore, you may want to clear CMOS and perform a BIOs Recovery.
Clearing CMOS instructions can be found at: http://www.intel.com/cd/channel/reseller/emea/eng/membership/411560.htm
BIOS Recovery instructions can be located here: http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/desktop/sb/cs-023360.htm
If this does not work, you can test the system out of the case to make sure this is not affected by a grounding conflict.
For further troubleshooting/warranty assistance, feel free to contact your local support group; contact phone numbers and respective business hours can be found here: http://www.intel.com/p/en_US/support/contact/phone
I did all that, but to no avail, still turning on / off. When I go back toMWPNT10N.86A.0069.BI bios that came on it, the card does not have this bug, but I can give Do not reboot in linux.
what can I do here?
