La velocità di memoria ram è definità dal controller del processore o da quello presente sulla motherboard?
(per esempio se il processore avesse un controller integrato che supporta 1333 mhz e la motherboard 1600 mhz, si potranno comprare ram da 1333 mhz oppure da 1600 mhz ?)

If I understand your problem correctly, you need to know about memory specifications.
Please keep in mind that on the modern systems the memory controller is integrated on the Processors in order to reduce memory latency and increase performance. However, we need to follow certain specifications on speed and voltage based on the Processor requirements.
For example, using an Intel® Core™ i7-2700K Processor, you need to install 1066 or 1333 Mhz memory. If you install 1600 Mhz, the memory controller will automatically downgrade the speed to 1333.
