2nd monitor flickers when using a splitter

I just built this computer using the i3 hd2000 cpu, and I use dual monitors. One dvi the other vga, but I also use a splitter on the vga to clone that one to a third monitor (my projector). For some reason when I use the splitter the 2nd monitor starts flashing black, and will speed up then slow down, then go completely blank etc. Can the i3 not support the 3 monitors? I have no video card, I'm just using the i3's graphics.

Intel® HD Graphics and previous generation have never been designed for 3 active displays. These video controllers are designed to support two simultaneous and active displays through two separate video pipelines.

"Y" cables or splitters are not validated to work. Therefore this type of configuration is not guaranteed to work properly.
