I have been using this version for years and recently my machine has slowed down and the event viewer has identified the following error:
Parity error was detected on device iaStor0.
My pc now locks up.
Whilst i have my hard drives managed by the intel matrix manager not all my drives are raid.
Drive 0 (C drive) is not a raid array.
Hopefully someone can descibe why i am having a parity error for a hard drive that is not part of a raid array.
I understand that you are receiving parity errors from the Intel(R) Matrix Storage Manager for your hard drive that is not part of the array.
In regards to your question, the Intel(R) Matrix Storage Manager will handle all of the ports on the motherboard and this will read data errors thru S.M.A.R.T., Unfortunately these kind of errors usually mean that your hard drive is failing.
