I've got a brand new system I'm building with Intel Core i7 and on board HD3000 Graphics.
When you go to the Intel graphics control panel, advanced options, there is a ‘max battery life’ option. What change does this make?
When I run Passmark 3D graphics performance benchmarking, with the Intel default graphics options, the machine crashes on the 3D medium and complex tests. However, when the ‘max battery life’ option is set in the Intel graphics control panel, the test passes. I’d really like to know what this option in the control panel is doing? Can anyone shed any light?
I just tested this. Frame rate in Mass Effect 1 drops noticeably, that's what happens.
