ERROR: Recovery Volumes must contain a disk < 1.3TB

I installed a second identical SATA 2TB hard drive and tried to create a "recovery volume" in the Intel Rapid Storage, because changing into a RAID would delete all data of my (till now standalone) disk.

I could select the master (the former standalone) and the (new installed) recovery disk, but after that i got that ERROR

"Recovery Volumes must contain a disk < 1.3TB"

Does that mean the recovery option can only be used with hard drive capacities below 1.3TB?

Any possibilities to use two 2TB drives without loosing all data on the master drive?
