Intel Raid 10 Failed - 2 out of 4 drives suddenly became non-members of array

Hello,

I have an Asus P8P67 board and created a RAID 10 array with 4 x 3TB drives. I had intel driver version 10.5.1.1001 and updated to latest drivers 10.8.0.1003. Then I proceeded to update my BIOS from 1704 to 2103. Upon restart I went into bios to reset settings to the way they were before but upon restart my array was in failed status and two of the drives were non-member drives.

All drives are still there and working normally. I am afraid to change anything because I know the data is there because there is nothing different on the drives but for some reason they are not all part of array anymore. The only difference I see is that Intel software is showing missing drives with serial numbers of the connected drives but an additional ":0" at the end of serial number.

I have attached below the system info file created by intel software which details all my drives.

Thanks in advance for your help.

Hi there!

The problem is that you booted your computer without changing SATA mode to RAID right after updating BIOS.

When you updated BIOS the computer defaulted to IDE and this is why you have a RAID failed status. You will need to recreate your RAID from scratch, no data and structure is available.
