    Clone with different resolutions

    RMS32

I would like to request that the Intel HD graphics drivers be updated to allow clone mode with different resolutions.

Currently I have an HTPC driving a 32" HDTV @ 1920x1080 via HDMI and a secondary screen in my kitchen being driven via VGA, also at 1920x1080.

The problem is that the native resolution of the VGA screen is only 1366x768 and while it will display the (unsupported) full HD resolution, the image is slightly offset on the screen and I've been unable to rectify this.

Surely in this day and age it should be straight forward for the graphic driver to scale the image and mirror it with a negligible performance hit? this machine is used purely for web browsing and video so it's not being stressed.

I know that there are many with touch screens in their HTPC's whom would also appreciate the functionality.

I'm not concerned about the loss of clarity on the smaller VGA monitor when scaling from 1920x1080 to 1366x768 especially considering that it is already being effectively scaled.

          Hello,

Here at Intel we truly appreciate your feedback.

Our software support and engineering group is working on future generations of this software that may implement better features like the one you mention. We cannot provide an estimated time for this to happen, but your feedback for sure is important and will be forwarded to the corresponding level of support.

Thank you one more time for your interest in our products and how to improve their range of features.

            Hello,

We would like some additional details concerning what you requested.

So, could you please copy-paste the graphics report generated within the Intel(R) Graphics User Interface from the system that you are using.  For information on how to retrieve this report, please visit the following page:

            http://www.intel.com/support/graphics/sb/cs-009476.htm

Also specify the operating system and model of the video controller that you are using and the processor installed.

CPU is an i3 530, I am using the integrated HD Graphics with Windows 7 x64 SP1 Home Premium

The instructions that you provided didn't work exactly for me, but I used the save button under 'Options and Support'->'Information Center' in the 'Intel Graphics and Media Control Panel', I hope that this is what you're after.

              Output is as follows:
