Really good suggestion!
I did check the boot order and resetting the mb makes the CD/DVD boot first.
Going back into the bios, USB was disabled as a boot device, as well as setting the HD and CD/DVD as first and second boot choices.
After that, plugging the Android back in at bootup still caused the same problem.
The problem is when the phone is plugged in-it never gets to the post screen. I just hangs as the CMOS starts loading-I get the first symbol BA (resetting removable media) and then the boot process freezes.
Thanks again for the suggestion!
Double checked that-even with "Boot to removable media" the problem persists.
I just have my phone plugged into my computer to charge it and move an occasional file around (from phone to computer).
I’m mentioning this on the forums because I was about to get another motherboard, when I glanced over and thought-why not disconnect the phone and see what happens-it was the last thing I could think of.
