1. Why are the additional tabs disappearing?
Are you accessing the computer remotely? See http://www.intel.com/support/network/sb/CS-020166.htm for one cause of disappearing tabs. You might give version 13.5 software a try. The new version should become available on Monday, January 12, 2009.
2. What should the driver version show as on the driver tab in Device Manager. Mine shows as, Driver Date: 9/26/2008. Driver Version 18.104.22.168. Shouldn't it be Oct 2008 and 13.3??
The driver version is correct. The "13.3" is the overall software version and usually aligns with the PROSet version number. You can see a table of recent, individual driver versions at http://support.intel.com/support/network/sb/CS-023752.htm.
