    80H Error A9 on a DX580G

    dubz99

      Hello,

I have a DX580G board that has been running smoothly for 6 months now, today it froze and upon rebooting I found the system does not post.  The 80h board displays "A9" which I can not find documented.

      Any help would be appreciated!

      System specs:

      Intel DX580G

      i7-960 CPU - 3.2 GHz

      12GB Corsair (6x2GB) DDR3 PC10666 RAM

      Corsair 750W PSU

      Radeon HD 4350 GPU

      WD Raptor HDD

      Win 7 Pro x64

      Thanks,

      dubz

          Hello dubz99,

I see that you are receiving post code "A9" on the post code display.

The "A9" post code is not documented as it reserved, I can tell you that you will usually get this kind of error when there is a BIOS corruption.

I recommend you to clear the CMOS on the motherboard by disconnecting the power cables from the motherboard and removing the CMOS battery for 30 minutes. If the problem continues you should try a BIOS recovery update.

The instructions can be found at the following web site:
