    i7 930/Ram configuration

    Elector

I was looking at my RAM upgrade information, it says:

      • Triple channel memory architecture
      • Six 240-pin DDR3 DIMM sockets
      • Supports PC3-8500 (DDR3-1066) DIMM types
      •   If this is the case, I was wondering if the following ram would work my motherboard/cpu configuration:
      • SAMSUNG 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10600) Desktop Memory Model MV-3V4G4D/US
      • Also, would you all think adding the i7990xX would be a good idea?

Please provide the RAM part number, it is usually a long number so we can find the specifications of that RAM.

Also provide the processor model that you are currently using so we can check voltage requirements.

            I'm using an:

            • Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-930 quad-core [2.8GHz, 1MB L2 + 8MB shared L3 cache]

When I look up the information for upgrading my ram, with regards to my particular

              Motherboard-- it says to use a 240 pin DDR3, PC3. 8500 (DDR3 1066).  This Samsung

Ram is a PC3 10600, DDR3 1333, 240 pin.. So I'm curious if it will in fact work.
