I'd like to build a workstation based on X5675.
Here are the features I'd like to see:
- sata3 6 GB/s support
- ddr3 support
- graphics card support
- eec support (obviously)
- I'd like to have 32 GB of memory, but I can live with 24GB
A good candidate ishttp://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/motherboards/desktop-motherboards/desktop-board-dx58so2.html DX58SO2 , but it does not list x5675 as one of the compatible processors (although it is socket 1366).
My questions are:
1. Will x5675 work with DX58SO2 without any issues?
2. If not, which motherboard would you recomend?

If the processor is not listed on the tested processors list for the particular motherboard, then it will not work on that motherboard.
