Edward, thanks your reply, I have now downloaded the gui and it works fine. I wonder if you could help with a further question?
I do not seem to be able to do what I want namley to leave the existing 2 disk mirror in place and add a 4 disk raid 5 array.
Is this possible with RST?
Is it possible with ERST2?
I have looked at the cost of the key for the latter and it seems quite high and I am having some difficulty understanding exaclty what ESRT2 providesm since in the Intel document comparing the two they are both described as 'software' raid. I would like t get a clear answer to this questyion since we have a couple of servers cased on the MOBO to build.
Yes you can do it with RST. Following the steps below to create a second volume:
ESRT2 on S1200BTL doesn't support RAID 5, but it has Linux support. For comparison of ESRT2 and RST, see http://www.intel.com/support/motherboards/server/sb/cs-032032.htm.
