Don't close it?
Turbo Boost is a processor feature. It works regardless of any monitoring software that may or may not be running
That doesn't answer my question. It should run in the background without having to always be in the bottom of my screen.
When you close the TurboBoost monitor program and open Task Manager select "Services". Locate "TurboBoost" and look at the status. It should still be "running". To verify this further click "services" button at the bottom. Locate Intel TurboBoost. Under Status it should be "started". This can only mean that TurboBoost is still running even if the Monitoring program is closed. Note that you are only closing the monitoring program and not switching off the TurboBoost process.
Also in the "Processess" what you see is the TurboBoost.exe. This is the monitoring program. You can verify this by looking at the description. TurboBoost process is not shown in the Processess of Task Manager. What is shown is the monitoring program.
