I see you received replies to your question on another forum, and that you were able to determine which processors are supported on your board. I'm going to reconstruct your method here for users that may find this site but not the other.
Your Dell* system is proprietary, and therefore does not have an equivalent Intel branded desktop board. Upgrading the processor is dependent upon the BIOS update that Dell supplies.
You were able to determine that the highest processor for this board is the Intel® Core™2 Duo processor E6700. You found this information by going to the Dell upgrade site, then typing in the Service Tag number from your system.
Perhaps this information will help others in the same situation.
